Assessment
The Occupational therapist and Speech Pathologist evaluates the following areas of developmental skills in children
- Social-emotional skills
- Sensory Perception skills
- Reading and writing skills
- Speech and language skills
- Gross and Fine Motor skills
- Cognitive–behavioural skills
- Attention and pre-learning skills
- Sensory motor assessment for feeding and speech
Appointments are required for the initial consultation; post which the individual therapy plan starts.
Consultations can last from 1-3 hours depending on the complexity of the case.
Consultation services may include a review of previous reports, parent interviews, communication with other professionals/teachers, and meeting/direct observation of child/client.
Recommendations for treatment or for further diagnostic assessment are provided verbally.
